Tell us about yourself

I have a strong love for music and moving. I used to dance, attending the Lucia Marthas School of Performing Arts in Groningen. I live by myself quite close to the City studio. Apart from my studies and Rocycle, I work at Victoria’s Secret (weird fact: I am a pro at folding panties, BUT unfortunately we do not sell the bra’s!). I am very curious and stubborn, love reading and sharing food with friends. I can be a bit of a doubter and overthink things. Sometimes I need to go out and party to let go. But mostly I eat healthy, go to bed on time, work out and have a lot of structure in my life because that makes me happy. Not very cool, but it’s true. Last but not least, this is my birthday month (Aries).

5 facts about yourself people might not know about you

I never thought I would find the courage to teach a Rocycle class.
I forget my keys, phone, wallet and basically everything else when I’m not paying attention.
I am currently writing my Master’s thesis about Grit and a Growth mindset.
My eyesight is really bad. My glasses are currently at – 9.5.
I love New Girl on Netflix.

What profession other than Rocycle instructor would you like to attempt?

Pfffff this is such a hard one that I need still to figure out. I wanted to be a dancer/musical performer but did not quite succeed, so sometimes miss that a lot. I have my Bachelor’s in Psychology and am currently working on my Masters in Work and Organizational Psychology, but I’m still not sure what I want or should do. I would like to work in training and development. Mostly I want to find a job where I can contribute to the happiness and (mental) health of others. I would also like to help the fight against global warming (or own my own t-shirt company and become a bridal dress model). I would like to be a full time mom someday. I could go on for a while actually. Right now Rocycle is one of the best things I have ever done.

There are so, so many. I feel so blessed to be able to share the joy!! One I will never forget is teaching the Ro’asted last year with all of those daredevil Ro’riders and going all the way together for 90 minutes. It was a victory for all of us.
