Tell us about yourself
You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals in your world. Including yourself. I have always lived for continuous improvement, from my time as a competitive football player and track runner until now, where I lead a group of beautiful souls who are ready to go on this journey with me. Get better every day.

5 facts people might not know about you
– I played the saxophone for three years back in the day.
– I was born in Canada (yo, Jeff!) but raised in Amsterdam.
– I don’t do the sauce thing. Mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic sauce. They are all a no-go!
– Currently working on my Red Band Winegums addiction; it’s serious!
– I studied in the U.S. on a soccer and track scholarship.

What profession other than Rocycle instructor would you like to attempt?
I always wanted to be a Chef when I younger until I watched those TV shows about becoming a chef. All that stress? Not for me. I also been introduced to collecting music at a very young age and been collecting music for as long I can remember. Using these gems as a DJ/Producer would be cool as well.

Why should people join your classes?
Because life is fast, and we tend to forget about what’s really important. YOU! I try to get people fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, which they take with them when they leave my class. To dominate their day, better yet their life!

Which song is your guilty pleasure?
I have two! The reason why I call them my guilty pleasures is because they are made from a woman’s perspective.

But boy do I love these jams. Shower singing ultimate!
Alicia Keys (aka my wifey) – That’s How Strong My Love Is
TLC – Hat to 2 back (I also have the biggest crush on Chilli *hearteyes*).

What is the best Rocycle advise you have been given?
Do You! From my humble beginnings training with Leonie to random conversation with Joey. It starts with you. You find out what your perfect ride would look like, and you evolve from this point. The energy you transfer to the class is huge because it comes naturally – you created an environment you are familiar with and love. People can feel your excitement, and that it is genuine; they love that! I am always looking for ways to enhance the ROCYCLE experience – it starts with you.

Who was your childhood hero?
John Agesilas, my oldest cousin. I lived for his approval, and to this day, I do everything to impress him. From an early age, I witnessed his ability to create, lead and coach. He is a connecter. I honestly think he is a master of all. One of the biggest names in the European dance world, creator of one of the biggest dance festivals and responsible for the best house and techno parties, in my opinion. His work ethic is one that’s special; you can’t find it just anywhere. I could go on for days, but this guy is great – hopefully I can become as big of an influence as him in the fitness world.

Name 3 word that best describe your post-Ro’ride feeling
Energized After Exhaustion

Words to live by…
Nothing will work unless you do!

All time favorite Rocycle song?
Stretching on Summer Madness by Kool & the Gang is oh so magical!

What is your favorite ride of the week?
I know it sounds cliché, but honestly every ride is equally as exciting to me! A chance to get people to lose their sense of space and time so that they can focus on what is really important in their life and take that with them when they leave the class.

What means happiness to you?
WINEGUMS! No, just kidding ;).  We are all going somewhere in this journey called life, and we all have our life purposes. I only want do things that power this journey and be the biggest support system for those who pick me up when I’m down and put a smile on my face even when I feel there is nothing to smile about.

What has been your most memorable moment of your Ro career so far?
The first thing that came to my mind was my New Year’s Day ride. On January 1st, I hosted a RO’ASTED, which is 90 minutes and considered our hardest class. To start off your year like that gives you such a head start! The energy was indescribable, and you feel so accomplished after finishing a class like that. I had balloons & confetti cannons to top it off! To do a RO’ASTED is one thing, but doing it on New Year’s Day just brings it to a whole different level. Hard to forget something like that.
