At Rocycle we’re all about Mind Body Music, but, just as important is the fact that we’re a family. So, to make sure each class is not just a party but a reunion, we’d like to introduce some of our Ro’Regulars. This time, we were lucky to sit down with Emma Moloney to find out about balancing Rocycle with yoga and running into Rogier in the Vondelpark.

Hi Emma! We’re thrilled to chat with you today. Can you introduce yourself?
I arrived in Amsterdam for work in March 2016. I am a New Zealander who lived in London for about 18 years before getting offered a job at Endemol Shine (TV). After that, I decided to make the move to beautiful Amsterdam.

So the weather wasn’t too much of a shock then after London! How did you find Rocycle?
I cycled past the studio after it first opened and thought I would give it a go! It looked fun, and I had read about Psycle in London, so I thought it would be great to try. And it was. The music and experience are so fun.

We’re so happy to have you! Before you joined our family, what sort of exercise did you do?
I had a trainer in London, and I did dynamic Pilates and yoga. I have a trainer here too. I love Delight Yoga and ride with Rocycle twice a week. I sometimes see Rogier walking his dog when I am running along with my trainer in the Vondelpark.

You’re never too far away from another Ro’rider. Is nutrition something you consider an important
part of a healthy lifestyle?
I love having a shot and green juice afterwards, and by the time I get home after a morning class, I am very keen to have breakfast.

We can’t blame you there. We’re always famished after a Ro’ride. Do you have a favourite
instructor?
Everyone is great, but I love Jeff’s classes. There is lots of energy, whooping and great music. He is great, fun and kind.

Certainly could not agree more. And, finally, what does Rocycle mean to you?
I love it – it is so stylish in terms of the experience, and that has continued, even as it has become busier and busier. I come out of class much happier than I arrive – it is a great way to start my day!
