Refrigerator lookbook: luuk


Ever wondered how our instructors stay so fit and healthy? Did you ever think that maybe if you ate like them (and maybe trained too!) that you would have just as killer abs? We know we do all the time. Finally, you have the chance to be a fly on the wall. Or, a fly in the fridge, rather. Each of our instructors has shared a snap of their refrigerators, full of everything from fresh lemons to an army of tonic bottles.

Hi Luuk! How fun to get a sneak peek into your fridge. We notice it’s pretty full! Do you cook at home often?

I try to cook at home at least once a week, but I have to admit I can be quite lazy and just get some takeaway. But I do love to go to the market once a week to get everything fresh.

Hey you’re not the only lazy one. It happens to everyone. Can you tell us about that bottle that’s hanging out there? Is that champagne?

Haha yes, it is champagne. With a boyfriend working for an alcohol brand, we have loads of champagne and other hard drinks at home. Who wants to come over?

We do! Pick us! We don’t see any meat in there. Are you a vegetarian? Or do you follow any specific diet?

I’m trying to be more responsible concerning the wellbeing of the earth, so I normally only eat meat once a week. To still get my protein, I eat vegan protein shakes, a lot of beans, lentils and vegetables. I know that I feel way better if I eat healthfully.

We couldn’t agree more. If you had to cook dinner for one person from what’s in your fridge, who would it be and what would you make them?

Oooh la la. I’m going for Meryl Streep. I’m such a big, big fan of hers. That being said, I would be embarrassed to show her my poorly filled fridge.

We are sure that Meryl would approve. We don’t see any junk food inside. Are you a pretty healthy eater?

I almost never buy junk food for at home because when I buy candy or other snacks, the whole bag is inside my tummy in 5 minutes. Because I love junk food (who doesn’t?), I leave the bad things I crave for outside the house.

That seems like a very smart tactic to us. So, we’ve made it to the last question. Is there anything that isn’t in your fridge now that you normally have inside?

I usually always have hummus from the market and eggs.
