It is an exciting time to join the Rocycle team. We are looking for someone who is eager and passionate about Rocycle. A people’s person who gets excited about building strong teams and solving matters in a creative way.  A love for sports, hospitality and experience in team leadership is key. 

Your main responsibility is to be in charge of the studio when the studio manager is not there. You will be the point of contact for the team when you are on shift. You will assist in training and developing the team and take full responsibility for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness at the studio. You will also be responsible for making sure our values are carried out at all times, by all team members. On a weekly basis you will set and communicate the tasks for the team and you will make sure these are correctly done by following up. You will add value to the company’s success by taking responsibility over your tasks and be a great example to your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities Team Leader 

  • Day to day management of operations, sales and administration
    • Checking the daily sales reports and correcting discrepancies where needed
    • Creating excel documents for special events
    • Doing a weekly towel count for the studio
    • Doing a weekly stock count of all products
    • Helping the studio manager with ad hoc administrative tasks
    • Support campaigns at the studio when needed
  • Ensuring our hospitality and services are of the highest standard
    • Following/carrying out our Ro’behaviour and non negotiables at all times with the team by checking this when you are on shift. Studio must always score 100%.
    • Do walk arounds and spot checks throughout the entire studio every 15 minutes
    • Set focus of the week for the team and follow up, 1 x per week
    • Set tasks for the week for the team and make sure they are done correctly, 1 x per week
  • Form relationships with riders by having a personal talk with a minimum of 3 riders per shift
  • Train all new Studio Assistants and Runners by:
    • Using Guidiance and going over all important procedures regarding studio tasks
    • Training on the job; showing new team members how to perform weekly/monthly tasks
  • Assist studio manager in delivering re-training sessions to current studio team
  • Responsible to be in the know of all daily/weekly/monthly tasks at the studio and be the point of contactfor team when they have questions about it on shift
  • Responsible for informing Studio Manager about team/tasks/updates 1 x per week
  • Responsible for having the hygiene and cleanliness of the studio up to Rocycle standards
    • Studio must score 95% or higher on checklist at all times

Requirements

  • Passionate about people, communication and the Rocycle brand
  • A natural leader, that puts the team first 
  • Knowledge of booking – planning systems and operational procedures
  • Proven experience in an administrative or in a communication role
  • Ability to multitask and combine administrative tasks with on-hands work in studios
  • Familiarity in Excel and Word, Google Drive
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • A proactive and creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements 
  • Flexible within studio openings hours and be reachable for emergencies also in weekends and evening hours, with a computer if needed

The team (100+ people) consists of dynamic, open-minded individuals all coming from different backgrounds, age groups and countries. We enjoy inspiring one another, spending time at the studio and join ro’rides together. 

About Rocycle 

Rocycle is a boutique fitness company with a sincere hospitality touch. We’re opening our 5th studio in The Netherlands in September 2019 and are working on the development of our first international location. Our classes run all day long – from sunup to after sundown – 7 days a week. Pre-booking available online or in our app. We are a pay as you go studio. We don’t do contracts or hidden fees. You only pay for the classes that you actually use. The studio has everything you could want and need included with every class: cycling shoes, workout towels on your bike, luxurious, hotel-style towels in the locker rooms, and showers stocked with Zenology’s organic care products.
